Following on from Armani's example of opening a cafe within flagship, which Alfred Dunhill happily followed, Ralph Lauren has now done the same in Europe.

Last month, Ralph Lauren opened the largest flagship store on the Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris, occupying a 23,000 square-foot space. The building was erected in the mid-1600's and features classical French architecture. It has been restored over the past four years and includes six floors of retail space, including a restaurant in the old stable’s called Ralph’s which will strive to serve the best burgers (€24) and fries in the city.

Guests at the opening event included Ralph and his wife Ricky, David Lauren, Karl Largerfeld, Gerard Depardieu, Lauren Bush, Jean Reno, Dylan Lauren, Andrew Lauren, Natalie Rykiel, Ann-Sophie Von Clear, Suzy Menkes, Kevin Spacey, and more.
