i have always been curious about the production of everyone's essential things, like things that you see every day - chairs, cups, pots, wooden flooring, windows, glasses.... numerous of them. i'm a big fan of the program "how do they do it".. haha

i'm so happy to have found this video of Chanel, showing the secrets of how they manufacture their sunglasses...

: Chanel - Boy Bag :

Chanel has launched a new range of bags drawing inspiration from the androgynous style of fashion -  the Boy Bag line. it is inspired from what Coco Chanel used to wear - she got it from Boy Capel, her lover.

according to Karl Lagerfeld, the collection reflects the very spirit of fashion house, especially since Coco Chanel had a very boyish attitude. the collection includes purses, sling bags and handbags with linked chains for handles.

they will be available in stores from september this year. the bags made in calfskin are available in red, grey and ivory

Lemarie's feather works are purely amazing. in the workshop, there are millions of different kinds of feathers - coming from every imaginable breeds of birds. don't worry, they are farming their own birds for the feathers.

this update is echoing my previous post about helmets. getting the full gear for real sports is like the new basics. Chanel having Keira Knightley as the cat woman in this teasor is simply perfect. my favorites are still the helmet and the bike =P

now it makes me think i'm an idiot as i can't even ride a proper bike... =.=

The lion head is hilarious! Who would expect sth like that to appear in Chanel's Haute Couture? So Lagerfeld claimed that the idea came from the fact that Coco Chanel herself was born as a Leo. “The colour, fauve,” says Lagerfeld, “was something I thought was right for the mood.” Bet he's suggesting something that looks like "wild beasts" with a confident mixture of colors and textures. I'm not sure about all these crazy ideas but one thing is for sure - workmanship wins it all.

such an interest has drawn my attention to Alfredo Piola,
a Venezuelan photographer who's living in Paris.

it might take a day to do a very well put together magazine fashion shoot but it only takes a second to capture the live happenings on the street (street trend spotting) or during a fashion event.
