Being in the beauty business is tiring. I have never had so many pimples on my face! My manager told me it's because of the pressure. (people say when you have acne on your forehead, it means you don't have enough sleep; when they're on your chin, you don't have good digestion; on your cheeks, pressure). He advised me to use this magical Borghese muds. Use the green one first, leave it on for 3-5mins, and then use the pink one (for even skin tone and brightens up), and lastly, the blue one for hydration.

I did the green and pink one last night and it felt amazing! The dots were half gone and it's not dry at all after washing them away. I decided to use it for my body as well. Felt fantastic! I swear I'm not working for Borghese but they are cheap, fast actions, and soothing. Do try it if you have active skin!

The lion head is hilarious! Who would expect sth like that to appear in Chanel's Haute Couture? So Lagerfeld claimed that the idea came from the fact that Coco Chanel herself was born as a Leo. “The colour, fauve,” says Lagerfeld, “was something I thought was right for the mood.” Bet he's suggesting something that looks like "wild beasts" with a confident mixture of colors and textures. I'm not sure about all these crazy ideas but one thing is for sure - workmanship wins it all.

This is a funny idea. Nicely done - clean and direct.

I love them a lot more than the Louboutin campaign.

I've been working in events management for a couple years and I personally believe in the whole 'company culture' thing. Originally, the company office was a bit 'cyber-looking', which I think is a bit out-dated. With the nature of the job, I strongly suggest to make it look as simple, modern, and everlasting as possible. The chance of doing so came with the moving of the office - which was perfect! I re-designed the interior and name cards, which everybody was impressed with. I think the first and foremost thing of building a business is to make an impression to people who don't know you - and that they have an urge to WANT to know you. The semi-transparent plastic business cards did the magic! We have to be out to parties where there are always drinks lying around in the dark clubs. Plastic cards are waterproof and kinda rare in HK (maybe because it's a lot more expensive). I have to say we did a very good job and people remembers us by saying, "Ah! You're the one with the cool plastic business card!"

Similarly, I am totally in love with what Etsy's doing with the office interior. It is completely in line with the business itself - supporting DIY art/products. Provoking creativity within the space. It doesn't have to be a very clean, elegant looking company as long as all the members are proud of and make the best out of it.

Summer in HK is always a problem to me. Yesterday we had black rain signal (apparently there were floods in some areas) and I was stuck at work. I reckon I get more and more easily annoyed by all these weather. I love winter/autumn a lot more! If I were given a chance to move to another place, where should I choose?

I am not a big fan of the yellow color... but somehow, it by no doubt is a good pop-up for the outfit.

My previous perception of a mustard color has changed! i reckon it's a new classic! I don't have a fair skin color and thought I will look pale carrying the color. But I guess as long as the outfit stays basic, it works perfect! The mixture of textures and the harmony in color is simply fantastic!!

LURVE IT!

All of a sudden, I was browsing my photos in my bf's computer... and found this picture (see below). Time flies. I didn't know I have already graduated for 4 yrs and that means, I have been working for 4 yrs. I don't know if I am fortunate or not by getting into the events management company as I worked loooong hours and have to do everything myself. But I kinda like it as the team is supportive and I have a lot of creative freedom.

I came up with this idea for Mikimoto's Event (a Japanese pearl jewelry brand) - using real flowers for displaying their different collections. I love it a lot as it's so feminine!

I miss those days...
