he's not a new face in Balmain - Olivier Rousteing was the main assistant of Christophe Decarnin. He joined the brand's womenswear in 2009 and soon became a key person in the design team. Now, Olivier will be leading the design and development of men's and women's RTW collections. Can't wait to see what he's prepared for SS 2012!

Lee Alexander McQueen once said, “Life to me is a bit of a Brothers Grimm fairytale”. Sadly, it turned out to be a dark tragic that ended on Feb 11, 2010 with his suicide. A year on from the tragedy, the Costume Institute in New York pays tribute to the amazing designer to put together an exhibition 'Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty', which opens on May 4 - tracing the evolution of McQueen from his Jack the Ripper-inspired 1992 MA collection right through to the wondrously tender collection based on the art of Hieronymous Bosch that was to be his finale.

: Beijing makes me dry :

finally! back from beijing... non-stop walking, trying to squeeze into the stores wasn't easy as it was packed with ppl during this golden week holiday.

apart from the dryness (yes, i felt like i was dehydrated no matter how much water i drank....), it was a good trip. at least got the work done!
